No insurance policy

Would anyone be willing to share their policy on collecting from patients who have no insurance? We are looking at re-working our policy and would like to see what others are doing.

  • For our uninsured patients, we require payment in full at the time of service and we offer a 30% discount on the E&M service. We're family practice and pediatrics. In certain circumstances (for example, where there might be lab charges after the date of service), we also require a credit card guarantee.

  • We do the same, 30 % discount. The patient is told when they schedule the appt that payment is due at time of service. We discount provider services, but we don’t discount anything we have to pay for ourselves, supplies, injectables, etc.
