Hello - What codes are used for Fetal Surgery procedures:
- Aortic Stenosis
- Bladder Outlet Obstruction
- Bronchopulmonary Sequestration (lung malformation)
- Cervical Teratoma(link is external)
- Congenital Cystic Adenomatoid Malformation (lung malformation)
- Congenital Pulmonary Airway Malformations (lung malformation)
- Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH)
- Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS)
- Gastroschisis
- Giant Neck Mass
- Myelomeningocele (Spina Bifida)
- Omphalocele
- Sacrococcygeal Teratoma
- Twin Reversed Arterial Perfusion (TRAP)
- Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS)

    if there is no specific code for the fetal procedure listed, you use the
    unlisted fetal code and imaging is included.
    you have listed diagnoses not procedures below. what was done in each of
    these.

    I code a lot of ob and I have not seen most of these procedures done in
    utero - yes they are malformations but were they actually treated in utero

    Do you mean in utero fetal procedures? There is a section in CPT with limited fetal in utero procedures and an unlisted fetal in utter code. If there is not a specific code for the procedure in that section then you must use the unlisted code from that section.
